Rogue Nudity - by Alana Jimenez from nudity.com

Secret naturism is more than just your average skinny-dipping session. For those unfamiliar with secret naturism, it is an upstart branch of the naturist movement that refers to the clandestine practices of secret naturists.

It's not quite a secret cult or commercial membership venture. As a secret naturist, an individual is not joining the herds of naturists at their designated commons, but rather pushing the boundaries of naturism further into uncharted territories. The selling point of the philosophy is the unrestrained freedom - freedom from the monotonously structured life of the nudist club; freedom from the dress code of a clothed population; freedom from commitments to society.

The secret naturists are experiencing a freedom not bound by rules or fences and even empty wallets for that matter - their opportunities are limitless.

A naturist resort is not a necessary component of a naked holiday for secret naturists. The world is a secret naturist's own gigantic backyard.

Cost-wise, a naturist holiday can be experienced practically cost-free when practising secret naturism - money can’t limit venues.

Naturist memberships or package holidays can be considered a luxury in times of financial distress, and when you don't have to pay to use designated nude areas that's a bonus - no rules, no money required.

Secluded beaches or the uninhabited countryside are prime areas for secret naturism. These are areas where nudity is not explicitly allowed, but nor is it explicitly banned. However, secret naturists are not only confined to rural areas.

They may also frequent urban settings such as hotels, department stores, and even churches. Now, these are the areas where nudity is banned. I can't imagine how the plan to go nude at a department store can pan out or, even more perplexing, in a church.

But secret naturism is a spontaneous lifestyle - anytime and anywhere, but not with anybody. Secret naturists tend not to congregate with other secret naturists.

Part of the secret naturist experience is to be enjoyed in a somewhat isolated setting. It doesn’t necessarily mean that a secret naturist is a loner - groups of 3-5 individuals will not spoil the experience - but it's difficult to keep a low profile for a larger group.

Large groups attract attention and risk almost certain detection.

Practising secret naturism sometimes skirts the boundaries of the law, and getting caught could result in more than just a slap on the wrist. Public nudity is a serious offence in our clothing-obsessed society.

Secret naturists have to respect the local rules and not go about flaunting their nakedness - it's all about keeping it under wraps.

But why take the risk? Worrying about risks is for those who want to make it risky. It's very rare that you’ll see a secret naturist merrily prancing about in the woodlands. The practice is not an aversion to social nudism, but it presents an alternative to the traditional practice.

An inquisitive individual might well ask, "Why would the secret naturists be motivated to take naturism beyond its boundaries?"

It's hard to say. Not much is known about secret nudists - and it's not because they're supposed to keep their existence a secret. They don't have a very defined organisation nor do they have any explicit membership bases. Their members thrive on the thrill and spontaneity of the moment.

There is nothing sexual about secret naturism - it's a preference, not a fetish like exhibitionism. It's exhilarating to be consumed by the experience of being naked in uncharted and unregulated environments.

There is no secret behind being a secret naturist. You need a desire for adventure, a penchant for nudism, and a knack for hiding. Oh, visiting this link might help, too. By now, you’re probably wondering if the author is a secret naturist. Well, maybe - but the answer to that is a secret.
